Seton Catholic High School Open House
Seton Catholic Open House a Huge Success
We would like to thank the many supporters that attended our Open House on Sunday, June 7th. Over 350 people helped us celebrate the opening of our new Catholic school. It was so nice to have many Pastors of our Deanery in attendance along with parents, students and our faculty. I would like to personally thank our School Board Members, all of our wonderful volunteers, especially Phyllis Hyatt for organizing our refreshments along with Nancy Uselmann and Joanie Whitesides. Thank you Steve and Jo Marie Hansen for taking great pictures for us and for guiding our guests into our presentations. All of your efforts were truly appreciated.
We continue to give tours through our new school facility to prospective parents, students and community members. If you were unable to attend our Open House and would like to see the first Catholic High School in our area in over 40 years, please drop by and we will be happy to give you a personal tour.
The permanent Crucifixes for our building have arrived. They were handmade in Bethlehem and will adorn all areas of our school. The Khani family from Bethlehem, that carved our Crucifixes, donated a beautiful wood carving for our Chapel. We are very grateful for this special gift. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to all the Knights of Columbus of our Deanery, for the donation they are giving us to help pay for all of our Crucifixes for Seton Catholic High School.
Seton Catholic will continue to accept student applications for fall 2009 throughout the summer. If you have any questions, or need further information, please call us at 360 258-1932.
Highest Regards, Ed Little, President/Principal Seton Catholic High School
The Catholic Church in Southwest Washington is opening a new chapter in the history of our local Church by embarking on a campaign to build St. Elizabeth Ann Seton High School. Catholic schools have played a major role in Southwest Washington's history for over 150 years. Mother Joseph and the Providence Sisters founded Providence Academy in 1856, and we have grown to four primary schools in the area. Today, we build upon the legacy of those who have gone before us as champions of Catholic education to further honor St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, foundress of Catholic schools in the United States.
