Christian Service Program
Christian Service ProgramMissionThe Christian Service Program is designed to help develop students of Seton Catholic High School into a people of compassion and knowledge, a people committed to justice, a people for others.PurposeThe Christian Service Program is design to educate students in how to better serve their school, church, and community. Once the students have learned in their Freshmen and Sophomore years how to serve through the Church and School they will be able to branch out to planning individual Service projects their Junior year and finally during their Senior year they will be working with an advisor to plan, lead, and implement a service project.During their years at Seton Catholic, students will complete a minimum of eighty (80) hours of service to the community of Southwest Washington and the world. Our hope is that through services, students will become aware of their responsibilities as Christians to service the world around them, especially those in need. Service HoursOver a student’s four years at Seton Catholic they will be required to perform a minimum one hundred (100) hours of community service. The ultimate goal for service is for the students at Seton to go above and beyond the minimum graduation requirements for service and to have it become a part of their every day lives. Students who choose to volunteer beyond their hundred (100) -hour minimums will be recognized at the end of each school year, when they reach pre-determined milestones. When they reached this milestone they will be honored at an awards assembly. The following are the milestones that they can achieve beyond their first 100 hours.200-HOUR CLUB 300-HOUR CLUB 500-HOUR CLUB Additional Information
