Higher Learning

At Seton Catholic, our goal is to engage each student at their current academic level, help them reach their highest potential, and instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

We have a brand new STEM center, which includes both a dry and wet lab. Seton has a 14:1 student/teacher ratio, and an average class size of 23.

College Preparation

Our college counselor, Mr. Aaron Jenniges, gets to know every student and their academic goals.

He works with students, beginning in their Freshman year, to identify their strengths, select courses, investigate colleges, and apply for scholarships.

Seton offers 19 Advanced Placement Classes, enabling students to earn college credit at most college and universities with an AP Exam score of 3 or higher.

Academic Departments

The course of study at Seton Catholic is designed to prepare our students to enter colleges and universities while meeting various levels of skill and interest. Our challenging college prep program directs students into courses which prepare them for future success while instilling a desire for lifelong learning and curiosity. 

Our course offerings include two world languages, nineteen AP courses, a range of fine arts and theater classes, physical education electives, and technology workshops. In addition, we require that all students complete 100 hours of Christian community service, ensuring that we educate the comprehensive student and encourage a continuing dedication to ministry and living their faith.

Advanced Courses at Seton Catholic

  • AP (Advanced Placement) 
  • Honors Courses

We offer 19 Advanced Placement courses to choose from throughout your time at Seton Catholic. Starting with your freshman year, all the way through your senior year we have a path for students to reach their highest academic potential. AP allows students to engage in college-level material that builds critical thinking, discipline and intellectual confidence. High AP exam pass rates can qualify students to earn college credits.

Honors courses are woven throughout our curriculum, meeting students where they are but challenging them with more rigorous content, preparing students for college level work. 

Both AP and Honors add points to their weighted GPA boosting their academic record for university admissions.
