BANDS AT SC
We offer a comprehensive program where students learn and play many types of music with a variety of performances throughout the year.
Concert Band - Class during school day
Grade Levels: 9-12 This class is designed for students of music who are interested in developing musical technique through ensemble playing. Students will develop sight-reading, harmonization skills, basic music theory and instrumental techniques through the application of acquired skills to play a wide variety of music styles and genres. Students will be expected to participate in all band events.
A curricular class with all traditional Band instruments, such as Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, and Percussion. We perform at football games in the fall, a Christmas Concert, a Spring Concert, and perform at Graduation every year. During the second semester, students can also learn Piano, Guitar, Bass, and Drumset. By the end of the year, you will know how to play two instruments! School instruments are available for students to use and all music is provided! This year-long course grants two art credits.
