Safe Environment Training

VIRTUS® Excellence Builds Trust
Per Archdiocese of Seattle policy, all teachers, staff, coaches and volunteers must receive Safe Environment training before they are allowed to work with Seton Catholic students.

Safe Environment training includes a live, in-person 2-hour class called "Protecting God's Children," offered at local parishes and Catholic schools. After completing this initial class, you will be required to  update your status via online refresher courses every three years. The initial 2-hour class is the only in-person requirement.

You must pre-register for the live class by going to the Archdiocese's Safe Environment website, VIRTUS (virtusonline.org). Both the background check and Safe Environment training must be completed before teaching, working, coaching or volunteering at Seton Catholic High School. If you have any questions, please contact our VIRTUS coordinator, Shelley Pitzer ([email protected]).
